Blogging break....

I really want to find the time to blog again but I have been busy with life. I guess blogging is not what I am supposed to do right now.

I am still couponing and searching out the great deals but I just don't have the time to post them.

There are so many great money saving sites out there so please be sure and check them out. I hope someday soon I can get back to posting my great deals but in this season in my life I have to bow out.

Thanks for following along and hopefully I will see you soon....

Walgreen's sales and other ramblings....

I haven't been able to blog in awhile but have a few minutes to catch you up on some things.

Walgreen's has discontinued their rebate program. You will no longer see the free after rebate in their ads. They are offering more register rewards now so be sure and check out this weeks specials at Itship2Save.

There are 2 inserts in today's paper. I picked up my usual 2 Oklahomans and 1 Tulsa World.

I have actually been shopping Target a little more. Trying to learn the ropes so I can take full advantage of the new Target at 101st. You can check out this weeks ad here.

While my hubby and I were at Target Friday night taking advantage of the dog food deal I saw a lady checking out with a stack of coupons. She had a small gathering of people around her watching her total go down. Of course I had to stop and watch. Her total was $661.47 before coupons, 20 minutes later after all coupons had been scanned she walked out with 3 carts full for $221.00!! My jaw hit the floor and I stood their in awe.

I got to talking to her and she told me couponing is a full time job for her. She gets many of her multiple coupons on ebay. She also works at Target part time and knows how to take full advantage of their store. I wish I had more time to spend on coupons but think I do very well with what I have to work with right now. : )

Target and Walgreen's....

I was finally able to do some shopping yesterday and it was good! I don't have much time to post these days. Life seems to be getting in the way so be sure to check out MoneySavingMom and ItsHip2Save for great deals everyday.

Here is how my shopping went yesterday:

This was my first trip to Walgreen's. OOP $7.22 before tax, got back a free Crest toothpaste coupon and a free Softsoap body was coupon. Made $.11 overage on each of the Reynolds Wraps. The Contour meter I will donate to AABA. I got 8 items for free thanks to coupons.

Next stop was Target:

Total OOP $3.29 There should have been 3 bags of fruit snacks but the kids ate 2 bags as soon as we got in the car. Got $.11 cents overage on each bag thanks to the Target coupon. The band aids were also free. The Kashi cereal is on sale for $1.99 and I had a $1.00 off coupon. That was a great buy! Got 6 items for free.

My Target and Walgreen deals today....

I finally had a chance to do some shopping and it felt good to get some great deals. I went to the new Target first with some coupons I had printed from the Target site. They were out of the free goldfish but that's ok. I did get all of this for $7.00.

I got 4 packages of cheese, 2 bags of Chex Mix, 2 cans of soup, 3 packages of steaks and 2 deals of applesauce. I asked about the $5.00 off $25.00 coupon that went out in the mail and the cashier had one in her drawer that she scanned for me. The only thing I used manufacturer's coupons on were the applesauce everything else was a Target printable. Total saved $23.94.

I went to Walgreen's next and got all of this for $1.50 after Register Rewards and coupons I received back.

The shampoo and hairspray I got for free, the Orbit gum was on clearance for $.65, bought 3 and used the $.99 ESR coupon. I received an $8.00 RR for the 3 foam washes I bought that were on clearance, and I got a Catalina for free Irish Spring body wash. Total saved $32.82.

I want to say a special Thank You to my new friend for the blessing at Walgreen's. You know who you are. ;)

Lots of great deals....

When I started using coupons and blogging I never expected to take it to the level that I have. I am having a hard time keeping up with all the great deals out there and by not posting them you are also missing out! Life has been keeping me busy with working and school so I want to share some websites with you that do a much better job at posting the deals. Please bookmark these sites and check them on a regular basis.

I will continue to post deals that I find, pictures of my savings, and other deals that I find time for. It helps keep me accountable! I will still post the weekly Walgreen's deals here to.

Here are 3 of my favorite sites that I check very often through out the day....

MoneySavingMom...Crystal is a home school mom of 2 beautiful girls with one on the way. This is one of the first money savings sites I found and inspired me to start.

CommonSenseWithMoney....Mercedes does a great job of posting several times a day and this is where I get all my Walgreen's info from.

It's Hip 2 Save....this is a site that someone mentioned to me and she has some incredible savings deals on her site!

My Wal-Mart deals.....

I was finally able to make it to the grocery store yesterday. Since I had been able to create a stockpile we were able to make it through the month of February with very little out of pocket for groceries. I made a trip to Aldi on occasion but only to pick up produce, milk, and eggs.

I was able to save $47.00 on my grocery bill and the above items I got for free or very cheap.

If you have any of the $4.00 fusion razor coupons left Wal-Mart has a Holiday pack on clearance for $4.00 so I got 2 for free. These have the razor, shampoo, and shaving gel in them. Wish I has some more coupons.

The Old Spice I price matched with the Reasors ad who has them on sale for $1.59 a piece. I had 2 $1.00/2 coupons so I got 4 for $1.09 a piece.

The Sunsilk was on clearance for $1.50 a piece and I had coupons for $2.00/2 so I got these for $.50 a piece. The Axe deodorant was on clearance for $1.50 and it's a twin pack. The other items I got for free with either coupons I got in the mail or BOGO coupons that I used.

It feels good to have a house full of food again. I am going to try to go to Walgreen's tomorrow to take advantage of all the great deals they have this week.

Free Dove bar soap at Walgreen's....

Walgreen's has an unadvertised deal on Dove soap right now. There is a 7 day coupon in this weeks ad for $.99. If you buy 4 you get a $2.00 register reward, buy 6 get $6.00 or buy 8 and get a $10.00 register reward. The best deal is to buy 8.

The deal would look like this: $12.72 - $4.80 for 7 day coupon, pay $7.92 oop plus tax and get a $10.00 register reward good on your next purchase.

These are a great item to stock up on and do really well in yard sales. I was able to sell my last stockpile of Dove soap for $2.00 each.

Thanks Mercedes for the great deal.

No pictures from me....

I had good intentions of shopping Friday but that didn't happen. I had a husband to get to the airport and a son going camping. Got them both off and was to tired to do anything else.

I really need to go to the grocery store so hopefully I will have some pics soon.

Walgreen's has some good deals this week and you can check them out at CommonSenseWithMoney. Thanks to Mercedes for putting these great deals together.

Remember today is the last day for February rebates at Walgreen's, be sure and pick up your March book next time your in the store.

Awesome diaper deal.....

If your looking for a great deal on diapers your in luck! Beginning March 8th, a week from tomorrow Walgreen's will have the jumbo packs of Huggies on sale for $10.00 each. When you buy $25.00 in diapers you will receive a register reward for $10.00 off your next purchase. With 3 coupons to go along with this you will get 3 jumbo packages for $5.00 after coupon and RR savings.

My upcoming shopping trip....

It has been a very tight month and I am looking forward to doing some grocery/Walgreen's shopping tomorrow! I have been very thankful for the stockpile that I had to fall back on.

My plan tomorrow is to go to Aldi and stock up on fresh produce/milk/eggs, over to Walmart to finish up my shopping and than onto Walgreen's to see if there are any deals left. Ok, maybe not in that order but you get the idea. I will be searching the web today for as many great deals as I can find. I will post if I come across something good.

I will post pictures when I get it all home!

New Purina Dog food coupon.....

Visit the Purina Give a Bowl website, fill out a short survey and print a coupon for $3.50 off your next dog food purchase. You can print this twice.

Monday, February 23, 2009

Send me my deals....

if you haven't signed up for this website you are missing out on some great deals. For example, tomorrow is "save your receipt" day at Chick-fil-a, what ever you buy tomorrow save your receipt and get the exact same thing for free in March.

Chick-fil-a is a Christian owned company and very homeschool friendly. We should all do our best to support them. A new one is opening in Bixby the beginning of March!

Deals this week....

I am slow to post the deals this week. I have been caretaker this weekend and haven't had a lot of free time. There will be 2 inserts in today's paper, SmartSource and RedPlum.

I did manage a trip to Reasor's and Food Pyramid late Friday night. Reasor's has their large bottles of Suave shampoo 4 for $5.00. You can print a $1.00 off coupon here which makes them $.25 a piece if you can print four. Remember you can print 2 per computer you have access to.

Food Pyramid is having a BOGO sale right now and the nice thing is the items are ringing up separately so you can use a coupon for each item. They also had a tear pad for Powerade which is on sale for $.99. The coupon is $.40 which they double so you can get Powerade for $.19 a bottle. They is a great item to stock up on if you have kids in sports and for this Summer.

Other deals I got at Food Pyramid with the BOGO are Hormel Chili $1.03 a piece minus a $.55 coupon so $.48 a piece, Deli lunch meat $2.00 a piece minus a $1.00 coupon so 2 for $2.00, Fruity Cheerios $1.68 a piece minus a $.50 coupon doubled so 2 for $1.36. This is a great buy on Cheerios! The sale runs until Tuesday.

CommonSenseWithMoney has all the Walgreen's deals here, be on the look out for clearance Pringles. They are changing their packaging and making room for the new design. There are $.30 off 3 coupons out there to make the deal better. You may still be able to get some cheap Valentine candy too.

Wednesday, February 18, 2009

P&G free gas offer....

Check out the details on MoneySavingMom. It looks like Reasor's and CountryMart are both participating. Your purchases have to be on one receipt but if you buy P&G products this shouldn't be to hard to do.

Good buys at Aldi....

I made a run to Aldi today to see what their milk prices were since Walgreen's won't have gallon milk on sale. Their 2% milk was down to $2.43! Their whole milk was even cheaper than that.

I noticed they went up on their Sunkist orange price but had wheat bread marked down to $.65 a loaf.

They had several packages of lean ground beef marked with a $1.00 off sticker.

Hope this helps those shopping today.

Slow sales week....

There will not be any coupon inserts in the paper this week due to President's Day so save your money there.

CommonSenseWithMoney has the Walgreen's deals posted here, again not a great week for bargains.

Check out Tami's post at GoodPlans on how she saves on clearance products at Country Mart. Be sure and check each individuals stores coupon policy. I know the one in Bixby will not accept Internet coupons.

Have a blessed week!

FREE Wal-Mart items....

I got all of this free at Wal-Mart today. I didn't have any problems using my free Kraft coupons from the instant win game. I also got overage on my tuna and my Suave shampoo.

The Crest and Tuna coupons I got from VocalPoint. The tuna was $.93 and I had $1.00 off coupons so $.07 overage per package. The Suave shampoo coupon I got in the mail and it rang up $2.78 but the coupon rang up $3.00 so $.22 overage.

All in all a pretty awesome trip!

Walgreen's this week.....

Looks to be a pretty good week at Walgreen's. Cleaning supplies are on sale this week and you can sign up at Right@Home for some great money saving coupons. Mercedes over at CommonSenseWithMoney has all the details.

I went to my Wag's today to check out the clearance section and found a 3 pack of Reach toothbrushes for $.75, I picked up 2. The clearance section changes frequently so check it often. They had some cute High School Musical stuff marked down if you have a daughter having a birthday.

I asked one of the clerks about the rumor going around regarding them ending the EasySaver Rebate program and she hasn't heard anything but promised to let me know ASAP. Hopefully it's just a rumor or maybe they have something better in store. Will be interesting to watch.

I also noticed that Aldi has lowered their milk prices to under $3.00 a gallon and they had Sunkist oranges for $1.29 a bag.

Let me know if you come across any great deals this week.

Thursday, February 5, 2009

Sunday's coupons....

there will be 3 inserts this week. A RedPlum, SmartSource, and P&G. It might be worth it to pick up a couple of extra Oklahomans.

Be sure and check out my coupons.com box to the right for new printable coupons.

I am trying to spend as little money as possible this month so won't be doing any deals unless they are free or really cheap. I have enough food in my stockpile to keep us going. Fruit and milk should be all I need to pick up. If I come across anything great I will be sure and post it here.

If you've gotten something free or cheap be sure and let us know.

Oh, one more thing, if you won free coupons doing the Kraft contest it's been mentioned on several sites not to cut those out. Take them to the store as they came so there won't be any problems using them. Even if you think you won't use your free items at home get them and donate them to a food shelter.

Survey sites...

Pinecone Research is now accepting applications for surveys. I have heard great things about this company. They reimburse you $3.00 for every completed survey. Your not going to get rich quick but $3.00 here and there adds up. Go here to complete your application.

Walgreen's and Tide....

Here are the best deals for Walgreen's this week. Thanks to Mercedes for putting these together. It's kind of a slow week which is good for me because I won't have much time for shopping.

I heard that Wal-Mart is having a sale on the large box of Tide with a mail in rebate attached to the bottle. The rebate is for the full price of the Tide.

I did take advantage of the free juice and the cheap Special K bars at Target this week. I got 3 bottles of juice and 3 boxes of bars for less than $3.00. Walgreen's reader board posted some good deals for Thursday through Saturday. I got Quilted Northern 9 packs for $2.79 and stocked up on laundry soap. They had a couple of Sunsilk products left so I got those for free.

Several coupons expire on the 31st so I will be cleaning up my coupons and looking to use the ones I have. I will let you know if I come across any great deals.

Hope you've had a chance to check out RefundCents.

Coupon savings....

I am going to be teaching a coupon class in February and in preparing for this I was thinking of the best way to get coupons. I know we have our papers, and printable coupon sites but I always forget about the manufacturers sites. There are several companies that offer coupons and I seldom take the time to search those out.

I was really glad to come across this post at CommonSenseWithMoney offering great coupon savings from companies I thought I had all ready signed up with. I found out I hadn't registered with either company and these are for products I buy on a regular basis. I'm so excited to be getting my coupon books in the mail!

Remember when looking for something you by frequently to check out the manufacturers site.

Tuesday, January 13, 2009

My Walgreen's deals and a money maker....

This is what just under $10.00 got me today. The Kashi cereal is bogo for $4.49, I got the Oust for free using a bogo coupon, the gum was $.99 for 3 packages. There is a coupon for the gum in the ES catalog. Since we didn't get the Aquafresh coupons in our paper I took advantage of the Colgate deal instead. It is bogo using the 7 day coupon in this weeks ad and I had 6 $.75 off coupons making them about $.65 cents a piece. I will be bringing these to the CHEER meeting to help AABA.

The moneymaker is a good one. In yesterday's paper there was a coupon for $1.00 off Orajel and also a rebate form. Orajel cold sore medicine is also a FAR item this month at Walgreen's. It will cost you $7.49 after coupon but you will get back $9.34 by submitting your ES rebate plus 10%, send in for the Orajel rebate and earn another $8.00 so it ends up being a profit of $9.85 minus the tax you paid originally. Not to shabby!

Sunday, January 11, 2009

Kashi fruit bars....

If you've used all your Kashi fruit bar coupons from VocalPoint you can print some here. Wal-Mart carries these for $2.94 a box, they come in 3 different flavors and are made with real fruit.

Walgreen's this week.....

Mercedes has the deals for Walgreen's posted, check it out here. Looks like a great week to stock up on free toothpaste!

It was great to see a CHEER member at Walgreen's yesterday taking advantage of rain checks. Remember, get rain checks if something on sale is sold out, they don't expire and you can still take advantage of the great deals.

I think it's just going to be a fresh fruit and milk run for me this week but if I come across any great deals I will let you know.

Thursday, January 8, 2009

South Beach Bars moneymaker at Walgreen's....

Walgreen's has their South Beach diet bars on sale this week 2/$5.00, you can go here and print a $2.00 off coupon. Use the first coupon of the two. Print 6 of them, just keep hitting your back button. You will spend $3.00 oop but can submit for ESR #29 for $5.00 so it makes it a $2.00 moneymaker.

Happy healthy snacking!

Ben & Jerry's coupon....

If you have not printed the $3.00 off coupon for Ben & Jerry's you can go here. Put in all email addresses you have set up for yourself and it will be sent. Be sure and check your SPAM folder.

I heard the ice cream was on sale this week at Walgreen's 2/$6.00 which would make it free. Can anyone confirm this?

Monday, January 5, 2009

My deals this week....

Went shopping last night and this is some of what I came home with. Had 2 great cashiers and no coupon troubles. It was nice. We went to Walgreen's first to stock up on the free Garnier hair products. This is what I got for $6.21. The 12 hair products were free, oatmeal was $.99 a piece, and the Palmolive was $.29 a piece. I also got 1 box of Electrsol to take advantage of the $1.50 rebate. I have some Reynold's wrap coupons but they were out of stock so I will check back later in the week.

Next stop was Walmart. Saved $51.52 in coupons and stocked up on Electrosal. Here is what I got for $3.45. Their Electrosal is marked down to $3.09 so with my $2.50 off coupon I got these for $.59 a box. The Luminair candles were free giving me $.03 cents overage per candle.

Friday, January 2, 2009

My deals this week....

I wanted to share with you my shopping trips for this week because it helps keep me accountable. I did really well at the 3 stores I went to. I am going to wait for this weekend's paper with all the inserts before I do a run to Wal-Mart.

My first stop was to Drug Warehouse. I'm not a big shopper here but as I was looking around the store they had several markdowns. I will have to pay more attention to their ads. Here is what I got for $4.69. 5 paper towels, 1 huge box of Kleenex and a candle on clearance for $1.00. Saved a total of $4.99

Next I went to Walgreen's and spent $5.34 OOP but got back 2 $3.00 RR's so made a little overage on this. I got 2 Fusion razors, 2 paper plates, 3 Dawn dish soaps, and some 75% off Christmas candy. Saved a total of $30.98

My last stop was Aldi's. I needed to restock some canned goods and milk. I spent $40.21 OOP, $.21 over budget but I had promised the kids some chips. Still not to bad for all the canned goods I bought.

How about you? Any good deals this week?

Just a reminder....

a bunch of coupons expired yesterday, so clear those out to make room for the 5 inserts that will be in this Sunday's paper! Lots of great money saving coupons. This would be a great week to buy extra or ask family and friends for theirs.

One will be for Garnier shampoo which will be free at Walgreen's when you combine it with the $2.00 ES coupon. I would shop early chances are the shelves will empty quick on this deal.

There is a new $15.00 back in coupons from Pepsi/Frito lay, you can print a $1.00 off baked lays here.

Happy New Year!
