My Walgreens deals.......

I started out with $4.50 in RR's and did 4 transactions. I have more shopping to do but I ran out of time tonight.

1st transaction:

Fusion razor $8.99 (none for $5.99 at my store) - $4.00 mc
Hershey candy bar 2/$1.00
used $4.50 RR

Total OOP $2.39 on gift card received $4.00 RR

2nd transaction:

Oral B toothbrush $4.49 - $.75 mc = $3.74
Puff Kleenex $1.79 x 3 - $2.70 IVC - $.25 mc x3 = $1.92
Used $4.00 RR

Total OOP $2.56 on gift card received $4.49 RR

3rd transaction:

Noticeables Kit $6.99 x 3 - $5.00 mc x 3 = $5.97
Febreeze Air $2.49 - .50 mc = $1.99
Whoppers (for hubby) $1.49
Used $4.50 RR

Total OOP $7.20 used gift card received $5.00 RR

4th Transaction:

Softsoap 3.49 x 3 - $1.00 mc $7.47
used $5.00 RR

Total oop $3.41 used gift card

I spent a total of $15.56 using my gift card so no actual OOP, $4.47 was tax and I still have $14.00 in RR's to use. So minus tax and RR's I still have left I made just under $3.00.

I will post what I plan on doing with the rest of my RR's tomorrow.

A couple of freebies at Walgreens....

Buy 2 Reach Ultra clean dental products for $5.00 get a $5.00 RR. There was a coupon in the paper awhile back so a better deal if you have the coupon.

Take that $5.00 RR and buy the Crest mouthwash for $4.99, you will need a small filler to get over the $5.00 mark. You will receive a $5.00 RR for the mouthwash.

The best part is that these will roll so you can do this over and over as stock allows and only pay $5.00 plus your small filler for both products. A great way to stock up on toothbrushes, dental floss, and mouthwash.

My shopping trip for the night...

I got four more boxes of cereal at Target for $4.00 and received a $5.00 gift card.

I had a really good trip to Walgreen's, they ended up having several clearance items that I did not plan on buying so it threw my scenario off a bit but I still ended up with a great trip.

Here's what I got:

FAR items:

Crest toothpaste $3.79 - .75 coupon
Revlon nail color $4.79
Excedrin $3.99
Lypsil $1.99
Chemistry $7.99

Clearance items:

4 blankets $2.49 a piece
2 Flavor ice .25 a piece
2 Freeze bars .50 a piece

Regular items:

Precision meter $9.99 - $9.99 coupon FREE!
4 Diet cokes $12.00 (for my sweet hubby who took me shopping)
4 cans of OUST .99 a piece - 2 bogo and 2 $1.00 off and ES (made money on these)
2 Glade room fresheners $2.99 a piece - 2 $1.50 and ES
2 Sunsilk hair spray B1get1free $4.29 - 2 $1.50

RR item:

Crest mouthwash $4.49 received $4.50 RR

My total before coupons was $81.00. If I would have known I was going to spend this much I would have done 2 transactions and used 2 $10.00/$40.00 coupons but it worked out ok because my total oop was only $22.88!

I used $21.00 in RR and still have $14.50 in RR's left. Plus I will get back $22.55 plus 10% on my gift card. My receipt says I saved $177.33!

I want to get the Nivea for men but they were out so I will pick that up and get some cheap Glade plug-ins this next week. I have included a picture of everything but the pop. It's all ready in the fridge. : )

I got my wish....

Not a $5/$20 but a $10/$40! I can buy all the FAR items and the rest of the stuff I had planned and pay with at least 1 RR. When I get my scenario finalized I will post it here.

Wednesday, September 10, 2008

So what are the chances....

that Walgreen's will come out with a $5/$20 coupon this Friday? I have $30 in RR's and a great scenerio to get my FAR items. Guess I will wait and see. I did the Robitussin deal twice for 2 $10.00 RR's and the SC Johnson deal once for another $10.00 in RR's.

If you need new floaties or anything for the pool be sure and check out the clearance section, they had some great prices on Summer stuff. A lot of baby stuff to.

I'm off to Target tomorrow to stock up on Kashi....

Monday, September 8, 2008

Great deal on Kashi cereal....

Target is running a deal on Kashi cereal this week. Buy 4 boxes get a $5.00 Target gift card. Here's the best deal:

2 boxes Kashi (try Vive)and use 2 of these coupons, fill out survey for coupons
2 boxes GOLean cruch and use 2 of these coupons

spend $5.00 and get $5.00 gift card.

Free cereal!!

If you haven't joined VocalPoint yet, be sure and sign up. They send great coupons.

Coupon terminology....

Are you confused by the RR's and the ESR's. So was I, hopefully this will help you out.

IP = Internet coupon (any coupon printed off the Internet, black/white or color)
MC = Manufacturer coupon (any coupon cut out of the paper/magazine)
ES = Easy Saver coupon (Walgreen coupon found in there Easy Saver book put out at the beginning of every month, found in the front of the store)
FAR = Free after rebate (Walgreen rebate program found in same Easy Saver book)
7 day = 7 day coupon found in the Walgreen ad that comes out in Sunday's Paper
RR = Register Reward (Catalina that prints out at Walgreen if you buy a certain product)

There are also peelies, tear pads, hang tags and in store coupons that can be found at most stores, these are considered Manufacturer coupons.

Now how do these all work together. Wal-Mart accepts all IP coupons and MC coupons as long as they are not expired. If you have more than $50.00 in coupons at one time a manager will have to approve the transaction. You can also price match at Wal-Mart. Take your ads with you and use it to your advantage.

Most grocery stores will accept IP and MC coupons also. Country Mart in Bixby will NOT accept IP coupons but will accept MC coupons.

Target accepts IP, MC and Target in store coupons. Target in store coupons and MC coupons can be "stacked" which means you can use both at the same time for the same item. You can print these off the Target website or go to the Target store and print them there. You can print them the same place you would print a baby or bridal registry. Use their ink and paper, save yours. You can print more than one and use as many as you want.

Onto Walgreen's, here you can "stack" a ES with a MC, or a 7 day with a MC(by this I mean Manufacture or Internet coupon) You do not need to remove the 7 day from the ad or the ES from the book. These are store coupons and they do not need them to be reimbursed. Just hand it to the cashier and point to the one you are using.

Register Rewards (RR's) are printed from the Catalina machine and can be used on your NEXT purchase. They can also be used with all other coupons. The thing with Walgreen's is that you need to make sure you have as many items as you do coupons, this includes ALL coupons that you will be using. Buy a cheap $.10 filler if you need to, this will keep the register from beeping at you.

Free after rebate items are found toward the center of the Easy Saver book, these are items that Walgreen's will reimburse you for and you can use coupons/RR to obtain these items. You can now file your rebates online and have it loaded onto a Walgreen's gift card. You want to do this because Walgreen's gives you an additional 10% for your FAR items. Then every month you can have this card reloaded.

This is a lot to take in and it does take some time but it is so worth it. I have many, many items that I have got for free or very cheap because I took the time to do a little research. There are several great blogs dedicated to this and lots of places to print coupons, which you can do directly from this blog. If you have any questions at all please let me know. I want you to get the most for your money.

Some great deals this week....

I saved $63.00 at Wal-Mart this week. I hadn't been grocery shopping in about 3 weeks so this was a great savings. My bill before coupons was $166.00 and I brought it down to $103.00. Gotta love coupons. My fridge is now stocked and the cabinets are filled again.

I noticed MSM had some new printable coupons on her site today, and be sure to check out couponloop.com for a whole list of printables.

Walgreen's has a couple of money making deals this week. Buy 3 Robitussin get $10.00 in RR. You can go here and print a coupon for $3.00 off. So spend $3.00 plus tax for 3 Robitussin and make $7.00.

If you have the latest copy of the All You magazine (and you should) there is a coupon for $3.00 off Visine, use this and the $2.00 off ESR coupon for free Visine.

Another deal is the SC Johnson products. There are several coupons out for these cleaning products. Buy 7, get $10.00 in RR. You can then take your RR's and roll them into your FAR items for September. If you need any help with a particular deal please email me and let me know.

I've had some questions about all the different coupon terminology like RR and FAR so I will do a separate post explaining all the different coupons.

I will be going to Walgreen's tonight so I will update you tomorrow.

Thursday, September 4, 2008

Please be patient....

I'm going to make some changes to my blog to make it more user friendly. I haven't been shopping at all this week! I hope to have some great deals posted tomorrow.
